The variation of groundwater replenishment and its mechanism in the middle reaches of Heihe River basin, Xinjiang Autonomous Region, China, are investigated by means of environmental isotopic technology and exponential weighted averages method. It is found that the impact intensity of human activities on groundwater replenishment is 85% and the effect of irrigation in spring season is remarkable. Therefore, the key measure for realizing the sustabinable utilization of groundwater resources and protecting the ecological environment is to adjust the human activities in conformity with the principle of water cycling. The critical impact intensity of human activities in Haihe River basin is 37%。 |
