      利用高精度控温的低温冰压力试验机,进行了-5、-10、-15、-20和-30℃ 5种温度、应变速率变化范围为10-8~10-2s-1的人工淡水冰单轴压缩强度试验,加载方向垂直于冰的晶轴方向。结果表明,人工淡水冰压缩强度随着应变速率有较明显的变化。冰极限压缩强度在韧-脆转变过渡区达到最大值,且随着温度的降低其过渡区逐渐向低应变速率偏移,主要发生在1×10-5~3×10-3s-1范围内;在其相对应的韧性区范围内,冰的极限压缩强度与应变速率呈幂函数关系。在相同的应变速率下,冰的破坏应力随着试验温度的降低而增大。

      A series of tests were performed on artificial freshwater ice under uniaxial compression by the precise control temperature unit compression tester of ice at five different temperatures (-5℃,-10℃, -15℃,-20℃ and -30℃) and in the range of strain rates is from 10-8to 10-2s-1. The load direction of ice sample was normal to the columnar ice crystal axis. The results of tests show that the compressive strength is very sensitive to the strain rate. The limited compressive strengths reach the maximum value at the ductile brittle transition region, and the region is close to the lower strain rate with the decreasing temperature of test. The transition region of strain rate is in the range from 1×10-5to 3×10-3s-1. Both the strain rate and limited compressive strength dependences can be expressed in terms of power laws in the relevant ductile range of strain rate. The tests also reveal that failure stress of ice increases as temperature decreases at the same strain rate.
