                  Abstract:TBM hasgraduallybecomeaconventionalconstructionmethodforhydraulicdeepburiedlongtunnels.
                  However,theexistingspecificationsforsurroundingrockclassificationmainlytakethestabilityofsurroundingrock
                  andsupportmeasuresasthemaindiscriminantfactors ,whichisonlysuitablefordrillingandblastingtunnels.
                  Therefore ,theclassificationindexsystemofsurroundingrockandthecharacteristicsofTBMconstructionfordiffer
                  entprojectsathomeandabroadarecombed.Then ,theTBMtunnelingefficiencyandadversegeologicalconditions
                  areemphaticallyanalyzed ,andtheclassificationmethodofsurroundingrocksuitableforTBM constructioniscon
                  structedbasedonthebasicclassificationoftunnelsurroundingrock.Finally ,alargenumberofengineeringcases
                  aresummarized ,andthequantitativeimpactofsixkeyfactorsonTBM construction,namely,superhardrock,
                  rockburst,faultfracturezone,largedeformation,waterinrush(mudinrush)andhighexternalwaterpressure,
                  iscomprehensively weighed, and the quantifiable surrounding rock classification index is proposed.The
                  engineeringapplicationshowsthatthesurroundingrockclassificationmethodforTBM constructionsuitabilitycan
                  quicklycompletethesurroundingrock classification accordingtotheengineeringgeologicaldata , and can
                  effectivelyguidetheTBM tunnelconstruction ,thathasgooduniversalityandeaseofuse.
