Abstract:Inthepowersystemdominatedbynewenergysources,theuncertaintyofwindandphotovoltaic(PV)
outputcanleadtoinsufficientflexibilityinpower - sideregulation,anditisdifficulttoaccuratelyandquantitatively
assessthecarbonreductionbenefitsofthesystem.Inthispaper ,fuzzychanceprocessingpowerbalanceconstraint
isusedtocharacterizetheuncertaintyofwind - PVoutputandcombinedwithladder - typecarbontradingmethod ,
andanewday - aheadoptimalschedulingmodelofthewind - photovoltaic - thermal - pumpedstoragecombinedpower
generationsystemisestablished.TakingarealnewenergybaseinNorthwestChinaastheresearchobject,theop
timizationtargetisthelowestcomprehensivecostcomposedofthewholeprocessoperatingcostofthermalpoweru
nits ,wind - PVpowerabandonmentpenaltycost,theoperatingcostofpumpedstoragepowerstation,andthecost
ofcarbonemissions.Thesegmentedlinearizationmethodisusedtodealwiththeconvexnonlineartermoftheoper
atingofthermalpowerunits,andtheoptimalschedulingmodelaresolved.Theoptimalresultsshowthatthetotal
operatingcostandcarbonemissionofthecombinedpowergenerationsystemaregreatlyreducedbytheadditionof
pumpedstorageplants.Byintegratingthefuzzychanceconstraintmethodandladdercarbontradingmethodinthe
wind - photovoltaic - thermal - pumpedstoragecombinedpowergenerationsystem,thewholecostofthesystemisre
ducedby3.2%,thecarbonemissionisreducedby14.3%,andthecostofabandonedwind - PVisreducedby55.
7%,whichverifiedtheeffectivenessofthenewmodelconstructedinthispaper.
