Abstract:Thestabilityoficeinthefrontoficecoveroricejamisanimportantbasisforthestudyoficejamaccu
mulation.Similarly ,itisanessentialpartofanymathematicalmodelpredictingorforecastingicejam accumula
tion.Areviewoftheclassicliteratureonsubmergenceoficeblocks ,bothdomesticallyandinternationally,has
beenconducted ,andthestudywaysonthecriticalconditionsforiceblocksubmergencehasbeenroughlycatego
rizedintothreeaspects:prototypeobservation,theoreticalanalysis,andexperimentalstudy.Whetherforengi
neeringapplicationsortheoreticalresearch,thecriticalFroudenumberiscommonlyusedtodetermineiceblock
submergence.Throughanalysisanddiscussionofthedeficienciesinexistingresearch ,thefollowingmainconclu
sionsandfutureresearchdirectionshavebeendrawn:thecriticalFroudenumberisinfluencedbymultiplefactors,
suchaswaterflow,meteorology,andtheconditionoftheiceblocksthemselves,thusexhibitingarangeofvalues
withspecificregionalcharacteristics.Theexistingresearchoniceblocksubmergencehaslargelyoverlookedthe
effectoficeblockwidth ,whichdirectlyaffectstheaccuraterepresentationofsubmergencemomentandanti - over
turningmoment.Thestudyofpressureanddistributionchangesonthebottomsurfaceoficeblocksduringsubmer
genceisofgreatimportance ,andthereisstillmuchroomforimprovementintheexistingresearch.
