                  Abstract:Toaddresstheissuesoffrequentwaterloggingdisastersinthefieldandthescarcityofarablelandre
                  sources,anintermittentimprovedsubsurfacepipedrainagestructurewasproposed,whichoffersalargerdrainage
                  flowandoccupieslessfarmland.Ingeneral ,theconventionalsubsurfacepipecanbesimplifiedtotwo - dimensional
                  calculation ,buttheintermittentimprovedsubsurfacepipehasthree - dimensionalseepagearoundthecylindersand
                  filterintheprocessofdrainage ,formingarelativecomplexspatialseepagestructure.Bycombiningthedrainage
                  formulaofShaJinxuanpartiallypenetratingwellandthedrainageformulaofconventionalsubsurfacepipe ,asim
                  plifiedmethodforcalculatingintermittentimprovedsubsurfacepipedrainageflowintheabsenceofsurfacewater
                  wasgiven.FieldexperimentswerecombinedwithHYDRUSnumericalsimulationstoverifytheresults ,andthe
                  flowproportionofeachpartinthedrainageprocesswasanalyzed.Theresultsshowthatthetheoreticalcalculation
                  methodforintermittentimprovedsubsurfacepipeflowisreasonableandfeasible ,andtheaveragerelativeerrorbe
                  tweenthetheoreticalcalculationandthemeasuredvalueandthesimulatedvalueis6.97% and- 2.84%,respec
                  tively.Withtheincreaseindrainagetime,theproportionofinternaldrainageflowtototalflowinthecylindrical
                  sandfiltergraduallydecreased ,whiletheproportionofexternalinletflowtothetotalflowcontinuouslyincreased.
                  Thehigherthecylindricalsandfiltermaterialis ,thelongertheinternaldrainagedurationis,thesmallerthespac
                  ingofthecylindersandfiltermaterial,thegreatertheproportionofthesumofinternaldrainageandexternalinlet
                  flowtothetotalflow.Thediscontinuousimprovedmethodforcalculatingsubsurfacepipedrainageflowissuitable
                  forbothloamandsilt.Theresearchresultsprovideideasandreferencestoenrichthedrainagetheoryofagricultural
                  landandtheconstructionofsubsurfacepipeprojects.
