Abstract:Thehigh - intensitypeakingandfrequencyregulationtasksofpowergridsandthestrictwaterdispatchre
quirementsofriverbasinslimittheoptimizationspaceoftheschedulingoperationofcascadehydropowerplants,re
sultingindifficultiesincoordinatingwaterandpowerregulation ,insufficientefficiencyandlong - timeinefficientop
erationofunits.Inthispaper ,theobjectivesofpowergenerationefficiency,peakingcapacityandoperatingcondi
tionsoftheunitwereconsidered ,andtheschedulingmodelsofpowergrids,cascadesandpowerstationswerees
tablishedatdifferentlevels ,andthemulti - levelmulti - objectivecooperativeoptimizationmechanism wasstudied
andmodelsolutionmethodswereproposed.Bynestingdifferentlevelswitheachotherandrollingforward,thesafe
andefficientoperationofthecascadehydropowerplantsisensuredundercomplexwaterandpowerconstraints.
TakingtheupperreachesoftheYellowRiverhydropowerbaseasanexample,themethodcanincreasethepower
generationcapacityofthecascadehydropowerplantsby2.75%,reducethewaterconsumptionrateby2.38%,and
reducetheinefficientoperationtimeoftheunitsby50.64% underthepremiseofguaranteeingthewaterdispatchre
quirementsoftheYellowRiverbasinandthefullconsumptionofahighproportionofsceneryinnorthwestChina.It
hasscientificsignificanceandpracticalvalueforscientificschedulingandsafeoperationofcascadehydropower.
