                  Abstract:Determinationofblastloadsistheprerequisitefortheblastperformanceassessmentandblast - resistant
                  designofhigharchdams.Forthispurpose,modeltestsofhigharchdamssubjectedtounderwaterexplosionswere
                  carriedouttostudythecharacteristicsofunderwaterexplosionimpactloadscombinedwithnumericalsimulation
                  methods.Aprototypearchdamwasdesignedandmodelledatascaleof1∶200,andtheimpactloadsinthereser
                  voirandonthesurfaceofthearchdamsubjectedtotheunderwaterexplosionweremeasured.Abaqussoftwarewas
                  usedfornumericalsimulation,whichwasvalidatedbycomparingwiththetestdata.Theresultsindicatethattheun
                  derwaterexplosionimpactloadofhigharchdamscanbedividedintothreeparts:theprimaryimpactload,thebank
                  slopereflectionimpactload ,andthebasereflectionimpactload;Undertheconditionofdetonationinthemiddleof
                  thereservoir ,thecentralareaofthehigharchdamisgreatlyaffectedbytheprimarywaveimpact,whileareasnear
                  thebankslopeandthebasearegreatlyaffectedbythereflectedwave.Intheantiexplosiondesignandperformance
                  evaluationofhigharchdams ,thereflectedimpactloadshouldbeconsidered.Theresearchresultscanproviderefer
                  encefortheanti - explosiondesignandperformanceevaluationofhigharchdams.
